Moving forward

I brought Celina last Tuesday to school for a visit. We did not feel that she was yet ready to start fully at school. The visit was great. It was so good to see the kids. Celina was happy and enjoyed it. And mommy couldn't keep her hands to herself and stretched Adams arms and legs a little and he was smiling like always. Amber naturally always smiling and Boeta busy and exploring his surroundings. All in all a bunch of happy children. The rest of the week was full of therapies and bath sessions with Eldah our nurse from Westlake United Church Trust. Celina had a busy schedule. Her legs loosening up slowly and we getting a little more range without crying. And Celina is also happy to be on her tummy again. A little off the bum every day is good and gives the bum and the back a bit of a rest.

The last 2 days I forgot to give her her painkiller in the afternoon and she was perfectly fine. All smiley and happy. So I just give her one in the morning and we will probably soon try soon to go without any.

These last two days she has been laughing a lot again. We had a good time. Today we took a walk to "The Oog" in Bergvliet just around the corner from where we are staying at the moment. It was so cute Guineafowls, ducks all with babies and two turtles. Wow. We really had a great time.

OK the turtles are a bit far away..... try and look on the rock a little to the left from the middle just above the water or zoom in if you can.

Another weekend gone and this week Lini is most probably going back to school. We thank the Lord for all the steps forward and believe that we will have her standing soon too.

Thank You Lord for loving us, protecting us, providing for us, teaching and guiding us, for giving Your Son for us.

Cast-less

Out of hospital, back home. I still can't believe that 7 weeks have gone by and the cast is off and they cut the cast in half so we can still use it as a splint which was really needed. Celina feels very insecure without anything around her legs. Due to the released muscles the knees and legs are a bit wobbly. And Wednesday and Thursday I gave her more painkillers. Today we are back to 2 a day and I hope by next week we can go down more.
I am so happy that cast is off.
And guess what the search is over. I found the splint. They were actually at Lini's school. Well, I am just happy that we found them and they still fit like a glove. It makes such a difference. Since the cast is off its like the security of the cast was gone and a lot of anticipation of pain came up. So now the splints give her back the security and then 2-3 times a day I take them off and do some leg exercises.
And then also the arm splints must come on twice a day to get the arms straight again. The OT did a brilliant job today with Celina's left arm. It is as good as straight and also the turning of her hand is much better. Wow now its going forward but it also looks like there is lots of work for me every day.

Dadedada. Here are now the long lost splints worth R 6300. I am so happy that they appeared again.

Thank You Lord.

Back to hospital

Today at 12 pm we were eeeehhhh I mean Celina was admitted to Constantiaberg Hospital. They are checking her lungs and why she with every meal starts sounding like a tractor. And it is not a lung infection she does not have a temperature. They got some slimy stuff out and send it to the labs. The results will probably not come before the evening today.

The last couple of days were quiet and Celina and myself even found a way to properly cuddle.

Only one more sleep and then we can cuddle properly. Cast off and on mommies lap.

For today mommy got some highlighters and kokies and did some artwork on my broomstick between my legs. And the doc has to bring it out of theatre as a souvenir. Check it out. It was fun.

Cool ne! So, tomorrow Celina goes into theatre to take the cast off and then we can start with proper physio. Can't wait. And then she might get back to school on Monday too.

Thank you Lord for a quick recovery in the last 7 weeks and in the weeks to come. Celina is also very verbal today. She is making lots of sound like as if she is telling me a story. Sounds soooooo cute. And laughing again.

One not so good news is that Celina now needs her leg splints after the cast is off and I can't find them. Please pray that we still find them before tomorrow.

Thank You Lord that you gave your blood for the forgiveness of our sins and Your body for our health and wholeness!
