Busy week

It was a bit of an up and  down this week with Celina. Two of her scars started pussing again. I had to call the doctor but he just gave us a script for an ointment to put on which worked great. Then it was a up and down story with her pain. But I think I found the balance now. And also when we go out with her its too much movement so ......today we tried something new and it worked like a charm. We sat her straight up in the seat in the car strapped her in with her belting system and ....voila there we go, it works. We have to hold her diagonal with her legs to get her through the car door but it works.

A bit more normality again. And she sits great like that without pain and all. Enjoying the drive.

 

The reason why I was so busy was that I planned a surprise potjie party for Clint's birthday or actually most of the planning was in the hands of our wonderful cell group. And they have out done themselves once again. I just did the cake trying to get it done without Clint seeing it. They did 5 pots. One more yummy then the next.

On the inside it was chocolate cake layered with mascarpone frosting. Mmmmmmmmmh.

 

 

And then there is another goooooood news. We are booked into hospital, I mean Celina is booked in for the removal of  her cast on the 6. Feb. Yippeeeeeeee!!! She will be going into theatre one more time for this. In this way there is less trauma taking it off and no extra Valium needed.What a relieve that will be. Can't wait. And then we are planing to have her back in school on the 11. Feb.

 

Wow the time has gone by so fast. The cast is on already for almost 6 weeks so when they remove it it will be exactly 7 weeks. Can anybody imagine to have their legs apart and in a cast for such a long time. Try and sit on your bed or couch having your legs in that position and see how long you can hold it there without getting really sore or at least so uncomfortable that you want to move them. We do not think of this when our children have to go through these kind of things. Naturally you can't do this for long. And our little angels legs are forced into this condition.

 

We thank the Lord for never leaving nor forsaking us, for carrying us through these situations and giving us strength to cope. And I thank Him for his never ending LOVE. And mostly that Celina is in His wonderful hands.
